Sarkar Distributors asked us to sell Black Tickets, claims Theater in Thanjavur!

In a rather unusual move, a theater group in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu has decided not to screen Vijay's upcoming movie Sarkar which is hitting theater screens tomorrow. Taking to their Facebook account, Ranee Paradise which is located in Shivaji Nagar of Thanjavur has announced the the decision came about after the distributor of the said film put forth the condition to sell all tickets in black for the first two days of release.

They have further taken a dig at actor Vijay asking him to 'practice what he preaches' as the actor is often spotted talking about the exorbitant ticket prices being thrust upon common movie-goers.

It is worth mentioning here that the state-wide distributors of the Sun Pictures produced Sarkar are also involved in a disagreement with the theater owners of Tamil Nadu over revenue sharing. Reportedly, the distributors had demanded a whopping 90 percent of the revenue collected due to which trade analysts foresee a significant drop in the theater screen count for the film in its home state.
