Vijay Sethupathi starrer Seethakathi and Jayam Ravi's Adanga Maru were slated for release on November 16, 2018. As many as 7 films  including Vijay Antony's  Thimiru Pudichavan, Jyothika's Kaatrin Mozhi, Vikranth's Sei, Udhaya's Uttaravu Maharaja and Venkat Prabhu's RK Nagar had announced their film's release date as November 16 as well. 

Now, the release of  Seethakathi and Adanga Maru have been postponed to December 14, 2018. Actor Udhaya in a statement has thanked the producers and distributors of both the films for postponing the film giving way to medium budget films and adhering to the norms of the Release Regulation Committee. He also thanked the committee for functioning effectively. Udhaya's Utharavu Maharaja is slated for release on November 16.

The postponement of these films has turned out to be a huge advantage for Vijay's Sarkar which is hitting the screens tomorrow (Nov 6). The film can continue its dream run at the Box Office in its second week sans any stiff completion till the release of Superstar Rajinikanth's much awaited 2.0 on November 29.
