Vijay's Sarkar is definitely one of the hugely anticipated films in Kollywood. The film is gearing up for Diwali release and the expectations of this movie is sky high. The film has done phenomenal pre-release business with all area distribution rights sold for record price. With the sale of North and South Arcot  area for a whopping price to Cuddalore Krishnalaya Pandian, the distribution rights of all areas in TN have been sold. 

Thenandal Films who earlier produced Mersal have acquired the worldwide distribution rights of the film for around Rs. 99 cr. Arun Pandian's A & P Groups have acquired the overseas rights of Sarkar.

The film has been sold for Rs. 83 cr in Tamil Nadu and total theatrical rights (domestic) for Rs. 107 cr. Vijay's film has to make a business of Rs. 145+ cr to achieve break even in Tamil Nadu. Sarkar is gearing up for a wide release globally by releasing in around 80 countries and the trade has predicted that the film will shatter records at the Box Office by creating new milestones.
