With Diwali around the corner, three Tamil films are gearing up for release this festive season. Vijay's Sarkar, Vijay Antony's Thimiru Pudichavan and RK Suresh's Billa Pandi are set to clash at the Box Office this year for Diwali. The latest buzz is that Vijay Antony's Thimiru Pudichavan is likely to advance its release date from November 6 to November 2.

According to trade sources, talks are on between the concerned parties to release the film ahead of Diwali to to cash in on the long weekend (Nov 3 - 6). If released ahead, Thimiru Pudichavan can enjoy a 'solo' release with an added advantage of getting good screen counts with prime shows for 4 days sans any competition till Diwali. The makers are looking at releasing the film in 350+ screens which might not be possible if releasing along with Sarkar on Diwali. However an official confirmation is awaited from the makers.

Thimiru Pudichavan starring Vijay Antony and Nivetha Pethuraj in the lead roles is an action entertainer directed by Ganesha. Vijay Antony plays a fiery cop. The film is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony.
