The first look poster of Dhanush's Maari 2 directed by Balaji Mohan is set to be unveiled on November 2, 2018. Maari 2, is a sequel to the 2015 hit masala venture Maari.  Dhanush shared the announcement poster on his Twitter page.

Touted to be a gangster comedy, Maari 2 will see Robo Shankar and Kalloori Vinoth reviving their characters as Dhanush's sidekicks, while new additions include Sai Pallavi, Krishna, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Tovino Thomas among others. Maari 2 has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and is produced by Wunderbar Films.
