Karthi & team Dev stranded in Himachal Pradesh Floods, 140 crew members stuck on mountain top!

Actor Karthi's 17th film Dev, which is an upcoming urban romantic cum action entertainer recently witnessed a shooting halt after rains and landslides impacted the Kulu Manali area the team was filming at. The situation got so worse that almost a 140 members from the film's crew were left stranded and the producer of the film, Prince Pictures is already facing a loss of Rs. 1.5 crore.

On the situation, actor Karthi is quoted to have said, "I was stranded inside the car for 4-5 hours and was later insisted to stay in a nearby village for safety purpose..140 members..are isloated..without any communication at the mountain top."

Apparently these members are stuck even with no access to food or communication and it would take at-least 28 hours for their commute passage to get cleared. This said team had been working there for the past 4 days and their return to safety is being highly anticipated.

Floods triggered by heavy rains have been wreaking havoc in several districts of Himachal Pradesh and Manali has been cut off from rest of the state, after an overflowing Beas river submerged roads during the last 24 hours. A natural calamity of this scale has hit the state after 23 years and is being compared to what was recently witnessed in Kerala.
