We had reported last month that Thalapathy Vijay made it to the top 4 of 'Best International Actor' nomination list  of UK-based International Achievement and Recognition Awards (IARA). Now, the IARA committee has announced the winners under each category and Vijay has won the 'Best International Actor' award for 2018.

Thalapathy Vijay, who missed his chance of winning in the UK National awards earlier, was nominated under the 'Best Actor' and the 'Best International Actor' categories for 2018 at IARA. The actor's name was however not included in the final lot of the 'Best Actor' category, but he has now won the award under 'Best International Actor' category.

The film he is nominated for is Mersal, which won the UK National award for 'Best Foreign Language Film' this year.
