Ethir Neechal to hit the screens on May 1

On Ajith's birthday falling on May 1st, the battle is intensifying among 3 much expected movies. Ethir Neechal, Soodhu Kavvum and Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal(MPMK) have all announced release date of May 1st (Wednesday).

All three movies adjusted their release date to capitalize on the long weekend. Ethir Neechal was planning to release on April 26. Now, it will hit the screens on May 1. Studio Green's Soodhu Kavvum which was earlier planning to release on May 3rd has advanced the dates to May 1st. Vasanth's Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal was the first to announce the date. But, it is now caught in the competition.

Among the three, Ethir Neechal has the upper hand so far. Thanks to chart-buster music by Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan's followership. As we get closer to the date, equations may change.
