Vijay's Sarkar is set to hit the screens for Diwali. The film shooting was wrapped recently and the post-production work of the film is in progress. According to reports, Vijay has completed dubbing for his portions in the film in a span of a week. Touted to be a political action thriller, it is one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood this year. 

The team is gearing up for the grand audio launch of the film which is set to take place on October 2. AR Rahman has scored the music. Also the teaser of the film is expected to be unveiled on September 13. However an official confirmation is awaited. 

Sarkar starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles is directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Radha Ravi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Pala Karuppiah play pivotal roles in the film. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project.
