Vijay is currently busy shooting for Sarkar directed by AR Murugadoss. The film shoot is expected to be wrapped soon. While it is a known fact that Vijay will be teaming up with director Atlee for his next film, the makers are yet to confirm the news officially. An official announcement from AGS Entertainment who will be bankrolling the project is expected to be made on September 13, on the occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi.  

Atlee will be collaborating with Vijay for the third time after blockbusters Theri and Mersal. Atlee in a recent interview has said that he's still working on the script and has come up with something 'unexpected' and is determined to continue his success streak similar to his previous outings Theri and Mersal. 

Vijay's Sarkar is gearing up for Diwali release. The audio is set to be launched on October 2, on Gandhi Jayanthi.
