A biopic on late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalitha is all set to roll soon. While news about Jayalalitha biopic has been making the rounds for quite a while, only yesterday there was an official announcement regarding the project. The biopic will be directed by Vijay and bankrolled by Vibri Media. The film will be made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. The biopic will go on floors on February 24, 2019, which marks the birth anniversary of the late CM J. Jayalalitha.

Priyadarshini an associate of Mysskin has also announced another biopic on Jayalalithaa. Here’s the official press note. The film will be made in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada and will commence officially on February 24, 2019.

It was producer Aditya Bharadwaj who had initially made an announcement regarding a biopic on Jayalalitha titled Thaai: Puratchi Thalaivi. However there has been no further update regarding the development of the project.
