Jayalalitha's biopic film titled Thaai: Puratchi Thalaivi


A biopic film on former Chief Minister and actress, J Jayalalitha is reportedly in the plans of being made and has been titled Thaai: Puratchi Thalaivi. The biopic will shed light on the life of Tamil Nadu's most talked-about female leaders, especially her journey from a popular actress to a powerful politician. Touted to be a trilingual (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), Thaai : Puratchi Thalaivi is currently in the process of being scripted and is expected to begin shooting by end of January, 2018. 


One of the producers of the film, Aditya Bharadwaj has also revealed that the film's team has been in constant touch with Jayalalitha's close associates who have helped them with personal details of the late AIADMK chief. Thaai : Puratchi Thalaivi will be shot in Mumbai and Chennai, with an official announcement on the cast and crew expected to be made soon.
