As reported by us earlier, actor Ajith, after his current project Viswasam will be seen teaming up with Saturanga Vettai, Theeran Adigaram Ondru director H. Vinoth and their project together is most likely to go on floors by January, 2019. Now, buzz in the industry is that this film which is tentatively titled Thala 59 might be a remake of a Bollywood film titled Pink which had Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. 

Pink is a 2016 National award winning court-room drama, which focuses on the regressed views of the society where women are stereotyped with a certain set of rules, at the same time none of them being applied to men. Amitabh Bachchan played a lawyer in this film, which had special screenings at both the Rashtrapathi Bhavan and United Nations headquarters in New York, for the message it conveyed.

Though there is no official confirmation to whether or not Pink is the script the Ajith-Vinoth duo will be seen working on, if true then it would be a huge step away for the Thala actor from his usual action packed films. Thala 59 is also expected to be produced by Bollywood director-producer and late Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor.
