MSV, Ilayaraja, A.R. Rahman: Story behind these composers & K. Balachander's Kavithalayaa

 

Late director K. Balachander's production house Kavithalayaa is a lot in the news these days for they have stepped in to producing web series and their first venture Harmony with A.R. Rahman was unveiled today on Amazon's Prime Video. Now, if you look closely at the video snippets posted by the production house's team on twitter, you will find a new logo representing Kavithalayaa.
 
As it happens, this new logo was specifically re-designed as an upgrade for the production house and a video version of the same was unveiled recently by composer Anirudh. Here, Anirudh also mentions that the music for this video has been composed by A.R. Rahman.
 
But what's interesting is that A.R. Rahman is the third composer whose music has featured in the intro logo of Kavithalayaa. The production house shared that their very first logo had M.S. Viswanathan compose the music and their second one had Ilayaraja. Now ain't that something about these musical stalwarts we've all been sitting on?
