Vijay Sethupathi has announced that his production venture 'Merku Thodarchi Malai'  (Western Ghats) is gearing up for release soon. The film is directed by Lenin Bharathi and has music by Isaignani Ilayaraja. The film has being lying the cans for a quite a while but will now see the light of day. Vijay Sethupathi made the announcement regarding the film through a video message on his Twitter page.

Vijay Sethupathi has heaped praises on the film as well as the director for making a heart touching film. He also thanked Ilayaraja for scoring the music for the film. The film has already been screened at various film festivals. The film has Antony and Gayathri Krishna (of Joker fame) in the lead apart from many newcomers. The film made for the common people is about the lives of cardamom farmers and workers in the Western Ghats.
