Vijay Sethupathi’s Junga which hit the screens yesterday has received mixed reviews, mostly negative from the critics and audience. The film has got a good opening on Friday despite mixed reviews. Junga has grossed Rs. 52 lakhs in Chennai City alone which is higher than the first day collection of Vikram Vedha (Rs. 51 lakhs).

Film will sail through over the weekend due to good advance booking and is expected to make decent business, but real test will start from Monday. The film reportedly has been made on a budget of Rs. 20 crore. We need to wait and see whether Junga will manage to break even at the box office in the coming days.

Vijay Sethupathi essays a role of a stylish don in Junga directed by Gokul of "Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara" fame. Sayyeshaa plays the leading lady. Madonna Sebastian plays an extended cameo role. Music by Siddharth Vipin.
