Madhavan's film on ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan to be a trilingual!

If one may recall, actor Madhavan was supposed to play an astrounaut/space pilot in a Bollywood project called Chanda Mama Door Ke, the fate of which unfortunately was put on hold after the film's lead Sushanth Singh Rajput opted out of it earlier this month. The hopes of seeing Madhavan in a space film may not have entirely dwindled as yet, as news of his other project (the one in which he had confirmed last year to play a rocket scientist) has resurfaced.

It has been confirmed that this yet untitled film, which is a biopic on ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan will be a trilingual and released in Tamil, Hindi and English. The movie is also expected to go on floors by September, 2018 and will be shot across Tamil Nadu and USA. Madhavan will be seen playing the disgraced rocket scientist between the ages of 27 and 90 and the movie will be directed by National Award winning director Ananth Mahadevan

Nambi Narayanan is a former ISRO scientist who was infamously arrested in 1994 by the Kerala Police under the Official Secrets Act, while he was part of ISRO’s cryogenics division. Nambi was accused of selling sensitive technology to enemy countries, a charge later found false and despite being acquitted in 1998, Narayanan kept legally fighting for his lost reputation and had last (May, 2018) appealed in the Supreme Court to erase all adverse records against him and ask the Kerala Police to pay Rs. 75 lakh as a monetary compensation for wrongful implication.

He also has an autobiography titled Ormakalude Bhramanapatham, which contains details of the third degree and sustained interrogation he was subject to during his 50 days in jail.
