How Sivakarthikeyan's remuneration from Kolamaavu Kokila was put to use!

 

As one knows, actor Sivakarthikeyan turned lyricist for the first time for Anirudh's musical Kolamavu Kokila (CoCo) and he penned a song titled Kalyaana Vayasu, which was picturised on Nayanthara and Yogi Babu. Despite the song initially facing plagiarism charges (which was later quashed by Anirudh), the video gained a record breaking 35 million plus views and producers of the film Lyca Productions, seem to have rewarded the team involved in the song heartily. 

Apparently Sivakarthikeyan was paid Rs. 2 lakh for penning this song, which he and his wife are said to have passed on to late lyricist Na. Muthukumar's family. This gesture by the star actor and his wife is gaining a lot of accolades from people aware of this fact.
 
Touted to be a dark comedy, CoCo is produced by Lyca Productions and also starrs Saranya Ponvannan, Yogi Babu and TV anchor Jacqueline among others. The film hits theatre screens on August 10, 2018 alongside Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam 2.
