It is already known that actress Trisha, who played the leading lady in the first part of Saamy franchise, had opted out of the second part due to creative differences. For a long period, the team had been trying to get back Trisha on board. However, since she has been in denial mode, the team has now roped in Aishwarya Rajesh for the role. The team has also released a picture of  Vikram and Aishwarya Rajesh from the film.  

Produced by Shibu Thameens, Saamy Square has Vikram playing dual roles and also starrs Keerthy Suresh, Bobby Simha, Prabhu, John Vijay, O. A. K. Sundar, Soori, Imman Annachi, Uma Riyaz Khan among others.

Directed by Hari, the film has Devi Sri Prasad for music, A. Venkatesh for cinematography, V.T. Vijayan for the edits.
