Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath are re-uniting once again after Vikram Vedha for an adventurous romantic drama titled Maara. The movie is directed by debutant Dhilip. Madhavan who plays the titular role has undergone a new makeover for his role which looks very impressive. Madhavan shared a picture of his makeover on his Instagram page. The caption read: "Look test #Maara.. a transformation in 2 hrs ??Thanksss so much @samanthajagan @jammyfernando "

The director was quoted describing Madhavan's character as a 'charming one' and also that the romantic track between the lead actors will only be a part of the film and not the pivotal track. However, the director also maintained that the story of the film still revolved around Madhavan, Shraddha and their love story.

Maara's technical crew comprises of Ghibran for music, Deepak Bhagawan for cinematography and Bhuvan Srinivasan for edits. Pramod Films is bankrolling the project.
