Earlier today, the news of actor Dhanush injuring himself at the shooting of the film Maari 2 spread like wild-fire and reports suggested that the freak accident was caused while Dhanush was performing an action sequence all by himself. It was also said that the actor injured his right knee and left arm when he was performing the stunt and was advised rest by doctors for a sometime. Naturally, Dhanush was flooded with messages of concern from fans and well wishers and the actor took to his twitter page to acknowledge the same and put everyone at ease. He wrote:

My beloved dear fans ... It’s not a major injury and I’m well. Thank you so much for your concern prayers and love. Im forever grateful. Love you all. My pillars of strength.

While it is not clear if Dhanush will continue with shooting of Maari 2 or will take time to recover from the injuries, his message sure comes a a relief to fans of the actor who have been speculating the seriousness of his injury since morning today.

Directed by Balaji Mohan, Maari 2 is the sequel to the hit masala venture Maari, which released in 2015. The sequel has Sai Pallavi, Tovino Thomas and Robo Shankar and is currently being shot at Chennai.
