The sequel to the first ever spoof film in Tamil was so far referred to as Tamizh Padam 2.0 (with the title name aiming to be a parody of Rajinikanth's yet unreleased 2.0), though one found the 'point o' missing from the title in the the film's official teaser. And now it has officially been announced by the film-makers that the zero has been dropped from the title since they realized that the number has no value to it.

Tamizh Padam 2.0 is said to be aiming for a July 13, 2018 release, though there has been no official word on the same. The film starrs Shiva, Iswarya Menon, Disha Pandey, Sathish, Santhana Bharathi and Manobala among others and is bankrolled by Sashikanth's YNOT Studios.
