Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's name was caught up in an unfortunate topic today as the residential building she lives in caught fire without warning. At around 2 PM today, a fire broke out at the 33rd and top-most floor of the B wing of the Beau Monde building which is located at Prabhadevi, Worli region of Mumbai. Incidentally, this building plays home to several B-town celebrities including Deepika Padukone and naturally the actress was flooded with messages of concern on her twitter feed. However, given that Deepika's house and office fell on the 26th floor of the same building and that she was out for a brand shoot at that time, Padukone was quick to let everyone know of her safe status.
I am safe.Thank You everyone.Let us pray for our firefighters who are at site risking their lives...🙏🏽

Meanwhile, firefighting operations are underway in the high-rise building for the break-out is being considered as a level 3 fire. Around 90 people (including Deepika Padukone's staff members who were at home) are reported to have been rescued to safety though there is no confirmation on whether or not people remain trapped in the affected areas. There are currently 10 fire tenders, 2 quick response vehicles, 5 water tankers and 2 ambulances present at the site with no causalities reported so far.
