Writer-director Raju Murugan is known for his hard-hitting films. After Cuckoo and Joker, he is teaming up with Jiiva for a new project titled Gypsy. The film touted to be a social drama has music by Santhosh Narayanan. The first look of the film has been unveiled by the makers.

Femina Miss India finalist of 2016, Natasha Singh Chauhan has been roped in to play the female lead. The movie is produced by S. Ambethkar of Olympia Movies.
