Gypsy ends up as one of the strongest films in the recent past. The message it hopes to drive is strong and more than relevant to the current situation. It extends a hand to the victims of the system and celebrates the feeling of being human. If at all art has the power to change minds, Gypsy is the artist. (more)

Gypsy meanders like its wandering hero
Though Raju Murugan's intention of conveying a message of humanity is laudable in these turbulent times, the problem is that the story meanders, much like its protagonist. The writing could have been more intense during the romantic parts. Somehow, the lead pair's chemistry doesn't work out the way it should have been.(more)
