The shooting of Jiiva starrer Gorilla has reached its final leg. The last schedule commenced in Chennai recently. A huge set has been erected at EVP in Chennai. Around thousands of junior artists will be part of the final schedule. 

The film touted to be a heist comedy is directed by debutante director Don Sandy. The film features Kong, a chimpanzee in an important role. The portions involving the chimpanzee were shot in Thailand. After learning that the team has used a real chimpanzee in the film,  PETA India made an appeal to the film's director Don Sandy requesting him to use computer-generated chimpanzee instead of a real one.

Jiiva and Shalini Pandey of 'Arjun Reddy' fame play the lead roles. Radha Ravi, Sathish, Munishkanth, Yogi Babu, and Rajendran play supporting cast. Music by Sam CS. The first look of the film is expected to be out soon.
