Movies This Week - 102 Not Out takes the cake

Here's a look at the movie releases that have hit theatre screens in Chennai, Tamil Nadu this week.

 

An adult horror comedy, this Gautham Karthik starrer is not your take-your-family-for movies. However, if buzz on the internet and reactions from those who've watched the movie are anything to go by, then IAMK is a one-time fun-watch if you enjoy watching this genre. (Review Here)
   
Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India (Telugu)
This Allu Arjun starrer is about a military professional with anger management issues and how circumstances forces his estranged father back into his life. While fans of Allu Arjun have been going gaga over the movie and his performance, the rest of the audience seems to have mixed reactions to the film. (Review Here)

102 Not Out (Hindi)
With two veteran on-screen legends Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor cracking up the audience, 102 Not Out is your must-watch this weekend. With an aggregate of 62% from both viewers and the critics, the quirky comedy of a film revolves around a father-son relationship both of whom are in their senior citizenship phase. Chanakayathanthram (Malayalam)
This latest outing of Malayalam actor Unni Mukundhan has him playing a fresh-out-of-college criminologist, who is pitted against an evil mastermind. The movie has so far garnered a decent response, thanks to the fan-base the actor enjoys.
 
Two other lesser known movies - Kaathirupor Pattiyal (Tamil) and Alaipesi (Tamil) too hit theatre screens this week. Another Malyalam movie Ee. Ma.Yau (Malayalam) which has opened to positive response is yet to hit theatre screens in Tamil Nadu.
