Lady Superstar Nayanthara's 'Imaikkaa Nodigal' which also stars Atharvaa and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles is among the many anticipated Tamil films. The film which started rolling in 2016 was wrapped in December last year. While everyone is eagerly awaiting its release, the production house Cameo Films has sent a two-page press note detailing the reasons behind the delay in releasing the film (Read letter below). Some of the reasons cited are: 

VFX work involved in the film

75% of the film was shot in live locations

Getting dates from the lead actors amidst their busy schedules

Bringing out a quality product takes time and costs money

Demonetization

Natural calmamites (Vardah Cyclone and Floods)

Despite all the hurdles the makers are working towards releasing the film in mid-summer. The team is currently working on the final touches on CG, sound mixing is in the final stages and the business talks are also happening simultaneously. The audio and trailer of the film is set to be launched in a grand manner in the second week of May and planning for a massive mid-summer release as per Producer’s Counsel release slots. The delay will be worth the wait the producer has concluded in his letter.
