The third schedule of Suriya's NGK has commenced recently, after the end of the film industry strike. The shooting is happening in Chennai. Suriya has resumed shooting for NGK. One of the leading ladies of the film, Rakul Preet Singh joined the sets for the shoot and shared her excitement on her Twitter page.

NGK is the maiden venture of Suriya with director Selvaraghavan. Sai Pallavi plays the other leading lady. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music. The film is bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.
