Nadigayar Thilagam is biopic on the legendary actress Savithri directed by Nag Ashwin. A new motion poster featuring Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda has been released. Samantha plays the role of a journalist named Madhuravani while Vijay Devarakonda plays the character Vijay Antony. The teaser of the film will be out tomorrow (April 14). Keerthy Suresh shared the news on her Twitter page. She wrote:

Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan play the role of Savitri and Gemini Ganesan. The film is set to hit the screens on May 9. It is a bilingual film made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. The telugu version of the film is titled Mahanati. The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Dulquer Salman, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj and Mohan Babu. The film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies.
