Director Bala's Naachiyaar completes 50 days in many screens across TN today. The strike has enabled it to hang on this long. Along with Kalakalappu2, it's the only relatively new movie still in TN theaters.

Naachiyaar has grossed 12.2 CR in TN and can be termed an above average venture. It's a Hit in Chennai city, grossing 2.73 CR.

GV Prakash and Ivana received rave reviews for their performance in the film while Jyothika also carried off a different character quite convincingly. Bala has started filming his next, Varma starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role.
