The title logo of Neeya 2 starring Jai, Catherine Tresa, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Raai Laxmi has been unveiled. The movie is a  sequel to  Kamal Haasan-Sripriya starrer Neeya (1979), a remake of Hindi film Nagin and has successfully completed the first schedule of the film in hilly locales of Talakonam and Chalakudi. Just like the 1979 film, Neeya 2 will be a romantic thriller and the inclusion of a snake in the title seems to hold relevance to this fact.

Produced by Jumbo Cinemas A Sridhar, Neeya 2 is directed by L. Suresh of Eththan  fame and has Shabir scoring the music with Rajavel Mohan handling the camera.
