Vijay Antony, Prabhu Deva to have a box-office clash!

Actor/composer Vijay Antony and actor/director Prabhu Deva are in for a major box-office clash as both their films are due to hit theatre screens for the Tamil New Year holiday. The release date of Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi directed Kaali starring Vijay Antony was announced today as April 13, 2018, the same day when Karthik Subbaraj directed Mercury is also releasing.



 
While Kaali has Vijay Antony playing a double role - one of a father and other of a son, Mercury is a silent film with no dialogues. Seems like both actors have something unique to offer from their films and their makers are putting the the holiday weekend to best use. Kaali is produced by Fatima Vijay Antony under the banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation and will be presented by Picture Box Company. Mercury on the other hand is Karthik Subbaraj's home production and will be released in association with Pen Studios.
