Dhanush in Padman Tamil remake?

Yesterday, there was a special show of Akshay Kumar's critically acclaimed new film Padman in Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. This was a charity show and the real Padman Arunachalam Muruganantham was also present to interact with the audience.
 
In a recent interview, Muruganantham expressed that he was very happy with the way Padman has turned out and that 85% of what they show in the film is indeed true. On the topic of the film's remakes in other Southern languages, he said that nothing has been confirmed yet. But he said that he would prefer Dhanush to take up the Tamil remake.

"I think Dhanush would be apt to do the role. I would love to see him play the lead role if the film has a Tamil version.", said Muruganantham.
