Sirai titled after a 1984 RC Sakthi film, is an upcoming Tamil movie starring Vikram Prabhu, and debutant LK Akshay Kumar in the lead. A Seven Screen Studios production, Sirai is based on true events surrounding a police officer (Vikram Prabhu), and a suspect in custody (LK Akshay Kumar), and is written by Tamizh, and directed by Suresh Rajakumari. 

On Friday, it was officially announced that Sirai is releasing in theaters on December 25, 2025 (Thursday), for the Christmas weekend. It was also revealed that after its theatrical run, Sirai will make its digital debut on the Zee5 streaming platform. Sirai's OTT release date is yet to be announced. 

Sirai's satellite rights are with Zee Tamil, and Zee Thirai Tamil TV channels.
