Vels Film International, one of Tamil cinema’s most active production and distribution houses, has officially launched its own music label called 'Vels Music'. With this new venture, Vels joins the growing list of film production companies branching into the audio space, like Sun Pictures who have their own in-house music divisions.

The Vels Music label will handle music acquisitions, audio rights, and marketing for upcoming Tamil films under the Vels banner, and is also expected to acquire rights for other external projects in the near future.

Vels Film International, founded by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, has produced several notable Tamil films like Prabhu Deva, Tamannah starrer Devi (2016), Ravi Mohan-Pradeep Ranganathan's Comali (2019), Dhanush-Gautham Menon's Enai Noki Paayum Thota (2019), Nayanthara-RJ Balaji's Mookuthi Amman (2020), Silambarasan TR starrer Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu: Part I - The Kindling (2022) with AR Rahman for music, among others.
