According to sources, filming is nearing completion, and post-production work is expected to begin soon. The film is slated for a grand release on January 14, 2026, coinciding with the Pongal festival weekend. It is worth noting that another big-ticket release, Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, is scheduled for January 9, 2026, setting up an interesting box-office clash.

A Historical-Political Story

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi revolves around the anti-Hindi agitation of the 1960s in Madras, a movement that shaped Tamil Nadu’s political and cultural landscape. This marks Sivakarthikeyan’s first collaboration with Sudha Kongara, raising expectations given her acclaimed track record with films like Soorarai Pottru.
