As Vettaiyan marks its first anniversary, director T.J. Gnanavel took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a series of heartfelt posts reflecting on the film’s journey, the people behind it, and the immense gratitude he feels toward everyone involved — from Superstar Rajinikanth to the cast, crew, and audiences. Calling Vettaiyan “the most cherished gift” of his filmmaking career, Gnanavel’s words capture both his humility and pride in having created a film that brought together some of Indian cinema’s finest talents.

1. “The most cherished gift I have received from #JaiBhim is #Vettaiyan. In my filmmaking journey, it is an important milestone for me to have had the privilege to direct Super Star, a legend who works tirelessly to achieve new heights and redefines the pinnacles himself.”
