Kamal Haasan, Vikram film is a remake of a French movie!

When Kamal Haasan first announced his project with Chiyaan Vikram, grapevine buzz was that just like director Rajesh M Selva's last venture with Kamal - (Thoongavanam which was an official remake of French film Nuit Blanche aka Sleepless Nights), this newly announced project too would be a remake film. While there has been no authentic word on the same, an inside source informs us that the buzz is indeed true.

Apparently, Raj Kamal Productions had bought the remake rights of 3 french films including Nuit Blanche and this new Vikram venture will be made with one of french-film stories. Interestingly, this project is also the banner's fourth venture after Nala Damayanthi (Madhavan), Magalir Mattum (1994) and Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupadu (Sathyaraj), to not feature Kamal Haasan as the lead.

News also has it that similar to the cameo appearances Kamal Haasan made in his home productions, Magalir Mattum and Nala Damayanthi, he is expected to make one in Vikram's upcoming film that he is producing in association with Trident ArtsThe yet untitled movie is expected to begin shooting from the end of 2018 with Akshara Haasan playing female lead and Ghibran handling the music.
