Saamy Square Team Vs Trisha, the plot thickens !


Only yesterday, we came to you with the news of director Hari confirming Trisha's presence in his upcoming directorial, Saamy Square. But seems like there is more to this casting confirmation than what met the eye. If one may recall, Trisha confirmed through her twitter account on October 23, 2017 that she has walked out of the film citing "creative differences".
 



Later during Gnanavel Raja's open threats of red-cards against actors in November, 2017, it was murmured that actress Trisha too was in the target-list, as the producers of Saamy Square had sought a red-card against her with the Vishal-led Producer's council. Speaking on the past and current development, producer Shibu Thameens has quoted to a media portal as follows : 


"Trisha has to be a part of the film or pay a huge amount as compensation for our losses. After we approached the Producers council, she has agreed to be a part of the film. Trisha has a substantial role in this sequel."


However, reports suggest that Trisha is not in the know-how of both Hari's and Shibu Thameens' statements, once again fuelling the debate over whether or not she is in the film. It is worth mentioning here that the actress, in whose career Saamy (the prequel) was a path-breaking movie, has neither confirmed nor denied her presence in the film. Added to this, the actress' mother Uma Krishnan has been quoted on the actress being a part of the film as follows :


"No, that's not the case. Nobody from the team has spoken to us regarding this. We will definitely have a word with the Saamy Square team and get back on this,"


Starring Vikram, Keerthy Suresh and Bobby Simha among others, Saamy Square has Devi Sri Prasad for music and has Vikram playing dual roles. The film is expected to hit theatre screens later this year.
