Towards the end of the year, there were talks about director Vishnuvardhan teaming up with Vikram had emerged. Now, sources close to the Chiyaan actor confirm that while Vishnuvardhan has not yet narrated a script, Thoongavanam director Rajesh M Selva has impressed Vikram with one. While its true that actor Kamal Haasan's banner Raj Kamal Productions has taken interest in bankrolling the project, the casting process of Vikram is still in its nascent stage. If materialized, the dream team of Vikram and Ulaganaayagan will start rolling from the end of 2018.
 
For now, Vikram is gearing up for the release of Vijay Chander directed Sketch. He will also be seen in Gautham Menon's Dhruvanatchathiram and Hari's Saamy Square this year.
