After BJP targeted Mersal, AIADMK hits out at Thaana Serntha Kootam!


That Vijay starrer Mersal was at the target point of several leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the media attention that followed the two was a highlight one could not have missed in 2017. Now, AIADMK seems to be following suit of their National counterpart, as an office bearer of the domestic party is said to lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police seeking changes in the lyrics, which he claims are offensive and are capable of instigating violence through the public. The said lyrics to which he is objecting translates as follows :

Adhigaara Thimira, Panakkara Power ah, Veratti Veratti Velukka Thonudhu 

(Feel like chasing away the ego of position and the power of money)

Taking a dig on this de-ja-vu situation, a twitter user mocked the incident and termed AIADMK as the "media-partner" of this Vignesh Sivhn - Suriya film. For his part, RJ Balaji who is also a part of Thaana Serndha Kootam took to his twitter page write this :



Produced by Studio Green, the movie is scheduled to release for Pongal and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The said song lyrics were written by Mani Amudhavan and Vignesh Shivn himself.
