The film which is Sivakarthikeyan's 2nd with producer R.D. Raja of 24 AM Studios is said to be a social drama and has been certified an U by the CBFC. The movie has Nayanthara, Fahad Fassil, Sneha, Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji among others with Anirudh for music. Velaikkaran hits theatre screens on December 22, 2017.
