Thiruttu Payale 2 's production cost may surprise you

Most films end up with overspending by atleast 25 to 50 % (some even 100%)

G when he guest wrote a price for us on the increasing need to keep film budgets under constraints ( full article here ). He had also emphasized  on not compromising on the quality of a film while at the same time not spending too much money on it and according to an authentic inside information, director Susi Ganesan's Thiruttu Payale 2 might have just proven to be one of those films.

If inside sources are to be believed, the whole production cost of Thiruttu Payale 2 without including the remuneration of the artists and technicians involved, was wound within Rs. 3 crore (approx.) and given the kind of film one got to saw on screen (with shots involving overseas locations, metro stations, exquisite sets and what not), it remains a big question as to how the team of this Prasanna, Bobby Simha, Amala Paul starrer pulled off a 60-day shoot at such a low cost.

Also with the film already collecting Rs. 1 crore (approx.) at the Chennai box-office alone in its first week of release, it sure seems like Thiruttu Payalae 2, which is a production venture of AGS Entertainment is on its way to end up on a positive-note in terms of box-office collections.
