Male anchor charged with Misogyny for his interview with Aval Andrea
It has been a week since Siddharth-Andrea starrer Aval hit theatre screens, but a week-old promotional interview of the film's lead cast has stirred a controversy of sorts in recent times. It all began when two separate 20 minute videos of Siddharth and Andrea were subject to comparison by the twitterati, and made it to everyone's attention for the starkly different questions asked to each of them. The male anchor who conducted the interview is being dubbed as a "misogynist" for resorting to objectifying questions for Andreah and film related ones for Siddharth and his tweet describing his way of questioning as "being sarcastic" has added fuel to the fire.
Here's a look at what went down
The difference in @cinemapayyan’s tone and quality of questions when he talks to @Actor_Siddharth & to Andrea is the definition of misogyny

2/4 got me curious. Watched both the interviews - Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah. Here are the questions posed, for comparison. pic.twitter.com/bxYyOxWjWr

4/4 to bridge them back to the film by giving really long film-related answers, the ones posed to Andrea were definitely misogynistic.

Thank you for this. Had tried watching the interview after seeing the tweets, but couldn't go beyond 5 mins. That Wonder Woman comment! 😱

I was being sarcastic and that's why she was totally cool about it. Not justifying anything though, will avoid it completely _/\_
