Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru - Some interesting trivia
Karthi's upcoming police flick Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru has been certified UA and the film will release on Nov17, as earlier reported. The team met the press yesterday to launch their songs and also share interesting details about the film. Here goes some exciting trivia about the film from the meet,
- Theeran is based on real life incidents (that happened between 1995 - 2005) which were actually narrated to Karthi during the time of Siruthai itself. The actor expressed that this was a story that kept coming to him and that he didn't want to miss it this time. Some officers who actually worked in this case back then, have also acted in Theeran. Karthi won't be playing a loud cop like what he did in Siruthai or his brother Suriya did in Singam. Karthi also appreciated Vinoth for his maiden film Sathuranga Vettai.
- Art director Kathir had also worked in the Singam series and he talked about the challenges of putting up a village set in Rajasthan. He detailed how the place isn't developed yet and isn't as globalized or advanced as Tamil Nadu is.
- Music director Ghibran expressed relief that he finally didn't get an 'award' film and that Theeran will be a proper commercial outing for him with 4 love songs (6 songs in all).
- Heroine Rakul specially thanked Karthi for helping her with the Tamil lines. She plays a character who is into art forms, painting, and stuff. The 'Sevatha Pulla' number was screened and the lead pair's chemistry clicks well.
- Director Vinoth said that Theeran would be about the good, sincere cops who serve society. The film will highlight the issues that they face due to the system. He said that he had met a lot of cops to get his research right and not go over the top with his presentation.
