Yet another Mersal record!

Since its release, Mersal has piled on many box office records. The film is on its way to cross the 10 CR gross mark in Chennai city and the 100 CR gross mark in TN after just 11 days in running. There is another record that has fallen by the way side and this is related to the film's music.

From all streaming platforms (Saavn, Gaana etc.), the film's album has crossed 100 million streams and has become the fastest Tamil film to do so. This is also apparently a new benchmark for a South film. Mersal has 4 songs composed by AR Rahman and 'Aalaporaan Thamizhan' has particularly become an anthem of sorts.
