Police complaint filed against Vijay for Mersal dialogues

Adding one more incident to the mount of controversies surrounding the film Mersal, a police complaint has been filed against the lead actor Vijay for mouthing "non-factual" dialogues in the film. According to reports, the complaint has been filed by a Madurai-based advocate, with an FIR yet to be lodged. 

This development has added to BJP politicians demanding the removal of Mersal' s dialogues, H. Raja raking up Vijay's and producer Hema Rukmani's religion, (despite her affirming that they are willing to change anything if required), doctors promoting pirated links of Mersal and H. Raja's mention that he watched the film himself on the internet. 


Though Mersal and team have been receiving a wave of support citing "freedom of Speech" and "cinematic liberty", team BJP seems to keep the hatred going and controversies continue to surround the film.
