Touted to be a thriller, the movie has Jyothika playing the role of a cop and producer turned actor Rockline Venkatesh play her subordinate. Naachiyaar will see GV Prakash donning a grey role for the first time in his acting career. Produced by the director Bala's home banner B Studios in association with EON Studios, the film has Ilayaraja for the music, Eshwar for cinematography ans Sathish Surya for the edits. With CS Balachander taking care of the production design, Naachiyaar is expected to hit theatre screens in September, 2017.
