Raghava Lawrence's movie joins the Tamil New Year Race

After facing obstructions in its release,  Raghava Lawrence's much delayed film Shivalinga is gearing up for a release on Tamil New Year's i.e. April 14, 2017. The film will now meet Arya's upcoming epic drama Kadamban and Dhanush's directorial debut, Power Paandi at the box office. (Simbu's Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangathavan was earlier planned to release on the same date but has backed out due to a shoot stall).

Shivalinga is director P. Vasu's tamil remake of his Kannada directorial of the same name. Starring Ritika Singh as the female lead, the movie also has P. Vasu's son Shakthi, Vadivelu, Radha Ravi, Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Madhuvanti Arun in supporting roles. The music of Shivalinga has been composed by S. Thaman with production being taken care of by Trident Arts. The film will be presented by Across Films in theatre halls.
